RESOLUTION NO. 2000-138 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, REPEALING RESOLUTION NO. 2000-038 AND REJECTING ALL BIDS FOR THE PURCHASE OF A HEWLETT- PACKARD DESIGNJET 755CM PLOTTER; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore, on the 10th day of April, 2000, in Resolution No. 2000-038, declare surplus and approve the disposal of a Hewlett-Packard DesignJet 755CM plotter, serial number ESB6A01892; and, WHEREAS, the Engineering Department has reviewed its current equipment needs and has determined that this plotter could be both a usable backup that could serve some of the department's more perfunctory functions as well as meet plotting needs of other departments using other software applications that perform more effectively with this plotter; and, WHEREAS, it is, therefore, best to have both plotters available for use, and it is deemed appropriate that bids for such plotter, which bids were received until 3:00 P.M., Tuesday, the 7th day of June, 2000, be rejected; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS: Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble of this resolution are hereby in all things approved. Section 2. That Resolution No. 2000-038 be, and the same is hereby, repealed and declared null and void and of no further effect. Section 3. That the bids for the purchase of the Hewlett-Packard DesignJet 755CM plotter be, and the same are hereby, rejected. Section 4. That this resolution shall be effective from and after the date of passage. PASSED AND APPROVED this 26th day of September, 2000. ~-~~7 Michael J.
