RESOLUTION NO. 2000-146 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A PURCHASE ORDER FOR TWO (2) AMBULANCES THROUGH THE HOUSTON- GALVESTON AREA COUNCIL OF GOVERNMENTS; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City of Paris has been a member ofthe Cooperative Purchasing Program through the Houston-Galveston Area Council of Governments since October I, 1990; and, WHEREAS, it is deemed appropriate that the City of Paris purchase a new ambulance and an ambulance replacement for Unit No. A-5 through said Houston-Galveston Area Council of Governments; and, WHEREAS, it is further deemed appropriate that the City Manager be authorized to execute a purchase order for two (2) 2001 Ford F350 Type I Ambulances for a total purchase price of $163,213.95, which represents the cost of the ambulances, which is $166,236.00, plus the cost of the Houston-Galveston Area Council of Governments fee, which is $2,477.95, less the value of the City's trade-in, which is $5,500.00; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS: Section I. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in all things approved. Section 2. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to execute, on behalf ofthe City of Paris, a purchase order for two (2) 2001 Ford F350 Type 1 Ambulances for a total purchase price of $163,213.95, which represents the cost of the ambulances, which is $166,236.00, plus the cost of the Houston-Galveston Area Council of Governments fee, which is $2,477.95, less the value of the City's trade-in, which is $5,500.00.
