<br />RESOLUTION NO. 2000-019

<br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
<br />PARIS, TEXAS, APPROVING CHANGE ORDER NO. ONE AND FINAL TO
<br />THE AGREEMENT WITH APAC - TEXAS, INC., BUSTER PAVING
<br />DIVISION, FOR THE PROJECT ENTITLED "PARK STREET EXTENSION
<br />TO SERVE WAREHOUSE DISTRIBUTION FACILITY FOR PARIS
<br />ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION"; MAKING OTHER
<br />FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND
<br />DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the Paris Economic Development Corporation did heretofore, on the 7th day
<br />of July, 1999, in PEDC Resolution No. 99-005, authorize an Incentive Agreement with Mark
<br />Cunningham which authorized the preparation of plans and specifications for a project of
<br />construction for the extension of Park Street from the end of the existing pavement, west a distance
<br />of 600 feet, which said project is to be funded in its entirety by the Paris Economic Development
<br />Corporation; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore, on the 18th day of
<br />October, 1999, in Resolution No. 99-126, approve the plans and specifications for said project and
<br />approve the advertisement for bids for furnishing plant, labor, materials, and equipment, and for
<br />performing all work required for the "Park Street Extension to Serve Warehouse Distribution
<br />Facility for Paris Economic Development Corporation" Project, which bids were received until
<br />3:00 o'clock p,m., Friday, the 5th day of November, 1999; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore, on the 8th day of
<br />November, 1999, in Resolution No. 99-135, award the bid for said Project to APAC - Texas, Inc.,
<br />Buster Paving Division, and authorize the execution of an Agreement therewith; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the City Engineer, Earl Smith, acting as project engineer, recommends the
<br />amendment of the contract for said project to add a concrete drive approach to T&K Industries,
<br />and providing for a net increase of $4,600.00 in the contract price, for a total contract price of
<br />$57,600.00; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the form of Change Order No. One and Final, attached hereto as Exhibit A,
<br />should, in all things, be approved, and the Mayor, Charles H. Neeley, and the City Engineer, Earl
<br />Smith, should be authorized to execute the same; NOW, THEREFORE,
<br />
<br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS,
<br />TEXAS:

<br />Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble of this resolution are hereby in all
<br />things approved.
