<br />RESOLUTION NO. 2000-021 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, <br />PARIS, TEXAS, APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE ACQUISITION <br />OF A SOFTWARE ENHANCEMENT MODULE TO UPGRADE THE <br />CURRENT SWEETSOFT AMBULANCE 2000 ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE <br />PROGRAM CURRENTLY IN USE BY THE CITY OF PARIS EMERGENCY <br />MEDICAL SERVICE; APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING APPROPRIATE <br />PURCHASE CONTRACTS ACCOMPANYING SAID ACQUISITION; <br />MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE <br />SUBJECT; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Paris Emergency Medical Service's system currently utilizes a <br />software package entitled SweetSoft Ambulance 2000 Accounts Receivable Program providing <br />various computed-related services to the department; and. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the original vendor of said software is offering an enhancement to improve the <br />efficiency and effectiveness of the current existing software; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Paris EMS has analyzed the proposed enhancement module and <br />determined that the upgraded service that could be provided for using such enhancement module with <br />the current software would benefit the operations of the EMS system; NOW, THEREFORE, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br />Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in all things <br />approved. <br /> <br />Section 2. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute any and all necessary <br />purchase agreements and other documents related to the acquisition of an enhancement module <br />available only from the original vendor of the original software to upgrade the current SweetS oft <br />Ambulance 2000 Accounts Receivable Program in use by the City of Paris Emergency Medical <br />Service. <br /> <br />Section 3.
