RESOLUTION NO. 2000-021 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE ACQUISITION OF A SOFTWARE ENHANCEMENT MODULE TO UPGRADE THE CURRENT SWEETSOFT AMBULANCE 2000 ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE PROGRAM CURRENTLY IN USE BY THE CITY OF PARIS EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICE; APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING APPROPRIATE PURCHASE CONTRACTS ACCOMPANYING SAID ACQUISITION; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City of Paris Emergency Medical Service's system currently utilizes a software package entitled SweetSoft Ambulance 2000 Accounts Receivable Program providing various computed-related services to the department; and. WHEREAS, the original vendor of said software is offering an enhancement to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the current existing software; and, WHEREAS, the City of Paris EMS has analyzed the proposed enhancement module and determined that the upgraded service that could be provided for using such enhancement module with the current software would benefit the operations of the EMS system; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS: Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in all things approved. Section 2. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute any and all necessary purchase agreements and other documents related to the acquisition of an enhancement module available only from the original vendor of the original software to upgrade the current SweetS oft Ambulance 2000 Accounts Receivable Program in use by the City of Paris Emergency Medical Service.
