<br />A RESOLUTION 01<' THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
<br />PARIS, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A LEASE
<br />PURCHASE AGREEMENT FOR THE ACQUISITION Q}' 590SL CASE
<br />LOADER BACKHOE FOR USE IN THE WATER/SEWER DIVISION OF
<br />THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND
<br />PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND DECLARING AN
<br />EFFECTIVE DATE.
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore, on the 27th day of
<br />September, 1999, in Ordinance No. 99-066, authorize the purchase of one new 2000 model 4-
<br />wheel drive backhoe/loader for use in the Water/Sewer Division of the Public Works Department,
<br />and thereafter did advertise for bids for furnishing said backhoe, which bids for such were
<br />received until 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, the 23rd day of November, 1999; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the best bid for such purchase was made by Future Equipment, 3600
<br />Highway 82 East, Sherman, Texas 75090, and the City Council of the City of Paris did, on
<br />December 13, 1999, award the bid for the same; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the form of Municipal Lease Agreement with Case Credit for the purchase
<br />of a 590SL Case Loader Backhoe, attached hereto as Exhibit A, should, in all things, be
<br />approved, and the City Manager, Michael E. Malone, should be authorized to execute the same;
<br />NOW, THEREFORE,

<br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY 01<' PARIS, PARIS,
<br />TEXAS:
<br />
<br />Section 1. That the findings set our in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in all
<br />things approved.
<br />
<br />Section 2. That the form of the Municipal Lease Agreement with Case Credit, attached
<br />hereto as Exhibit A, be, and the same is hereby, approved.
<br />
<br />Section 3. That the City Manager, Michael E. Malone, be, and he is hereby, authorized
<br />and directed to execute, on behalf of the City of Paris, the Municipal Lease Agreement with Case
<br />Credit, financing the purchase of a 590SL Case Loader Backhoe, upon the terms and conditions
<br />and in the form shown in Exhibit A, attached hereto.
<br />
<br />Section 4. That this resolution shall be effective from and after its date of passage.
