<br />RESOLUTION NO. 2000-026 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, <br />PARIS, TEXAS, DESIGNATING THE HIGHEST AND BEST BIDDER }'OR <br />THE LEASE OF HANGAR H AT COX FIELD AIRPORT; PROVIDING <br />THAT THE HOLDER OF A RIGHT-O}'-FIRST-REFUSAL FOR THE <br />LEASE OF SAID HANGAR BE GIVEN THE OPPORTUNITY TO MATCH <br />THE BEST AND HIGHEST BID; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND <br />PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND PROVIDING FOR AN <br />EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore, on the 14th day of <br />February, 2000, in Resolution No. 2000-018, authorize the advertisement for bids for the lease of <br />Hangar H at the Cox Field Airport, which bids were received until 3:00 o'clock p.m. on Tuesday, <br />March 7,2000; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, by contract, the City Council must determine and designate the best bid for <br />such lease and subsequently forward such bid to the holder ofa right-of-first-refusal for the lease of <br />Hangar H, same being 1. B. Richey, in order that he may be given the opportunity to match such bid; <br />and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, following a thirty (30) day period for exercise of the right-of-first-refusal, the <br />City Council will determine the party to whom the lease agreement should be awarded; NOW, <br />THEREFORE, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br />Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in all <br />things approved. <br /> <br />Section 2. That the bid of Progressive Marketing Group of Addison, Texas, in the amount <br />of$I,500.00 per month for a period offive (5) years, be, and the same is hereby, determined to be <br />the highest and best bid for the lease of Hangar H <br /> <br />Section 3. That the holder of the right-of-first-refusal for the lease of Hangar H, same being <br />1. B. Richey, be given the opportunity to match the bid within thirty (30) days. <br /> <br />Section 4. That following the expiration of said thirty (30) day period for exercise of the <br />right-of-first-refusal, the City Council shall determine to whom the lease should be awarded. <br /> <br />Section 5. That this resolution shall be effective from and after its date of passage. <br />
