Motion
carried 4-0.
meant to inform motorists that the lane was a turn lane. Mr. Sanders remarked
that the markings seemed to be in an area where, there was no driveway to turn
into which was confusing. Ms. Easton also advised members that there was no
turn lane at S. Collegiate and Loop 286 because S. Collegiate was a five lane
road which intersected with a one lane county roadand because of the low
volume of traffic no left turn lane was needed. After discussion it was decided by
consensus of members to request Ms. Easton explore the possibility of
refreshing the striping of the center lane on S. Collegiate at Loop 286 and extend
the gore north in the center lane. Ms. Easton also stated she would request the
city traffic department place lane marking signs on S. Collegiate approaching the
intersection. It was also requested that change in placement of turn arrows in
center lane be considered.
