<br />RESOLUTION NO. 2000-054
<br />
<br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
<br />PARIS, TEXAS, AWARDING BID AND AUTHORIZING CONTRACT FOR
<br />THE PERFORMANCE OF PLUMBING AS PART OF THE
<br />CONSTRUCTION OF FIRE STATION NO. FOUR; MAKING OTHER
<br />FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND
<br />DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did herelofore, on the 13th day of
<br />December, 1999, in Resolution No, 99-151, approve the advertisement for bids for furnishing
<br />plant, labor, materials, and equipmenl, and for performing all work required for the "Fire Station
<br />No. Four, Located at 24th Street S.E. and Jefferson Road Project," which bids were received until
<br />3:00 o'clock p,m" Tuesday, January 25, 2000; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore, on the 14th day of
<br />February, 2000, reject all bids and authorize the project to be revised and rebid, in the form of
<br />separate contracts for various portions of the project, which bids were received until 3 :00 0' clock
<br />p,m" Tuesday, the 28th day of March, 2000; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the best bid for the performance of that portion of the project dealing with
<br />Plumbing was made by Byron Malone d/b/a Seal Master Plumbing, of Paris, Texas, and it should
<br />be awarded the bid for the same; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the form of the contract for such construction work, attached hereto as
<br />Exhibit A, should, in all things, be approved, and the Mayor should be authorized to execute the
<br />same; NOW, THEREFORE,
<br />
<br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS,
<br />TEXAS:
<br />
<br />Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble of this resolution are hereby in all
<br />things approved,
<br />
<br />Section 2. That the bid of Byron Malone d/b/a Seal Master Plumbing for the performance
<br />of that portion of the project dealing with Plumbing for the construction of "Fire Station No, Four,
<br />Located at 24th Street S.E. and Jefferson Road Project," in the amount of $27,545,00, be, and
<br />the same is hereby, accepted and let conditioned upon said contractor meeting all of the terms and
<br />specifications included in the bid documents,
<br />
<br />Section 3. That the form of the contract with Byron Malone d/b/a Seal Master Plumbing,
<br />attached hereto as Exhibit A, be, and the same is hereby, approved,
