RESOLUTION NO. 2000-061 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AMENDMENT NO.2 TO THE TEXAS COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM CONTRACT NO. 717118; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore, on the 10th day of June, 1996, in Resolution No. 96-053, authorize an application to be made to the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs for Owner Occupied Assistance Fund Grant under the Texas Home Investment Partoership Program; and, WHEREAS, the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs, Texas Home Investment Partnership Program, Contract No. 717118, which awarded said grant, was executed on thellth day of November, 1997; and, WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore, on the 8th day of November, 1999, in Resolution No. 99-134, authorize the execution of Amendment No. I to Texas Community Development Program Contract No. 717118; and, WHEREAS, it is deemed appropriate that said contract be further amended; and, WHEREAS, the form of Amendment No.2 to Texas Community Development Program Contract No. 717118, attached hereto as Exhibit A, should, in all things, be approved, and the City Manager, Michael E. Malone, should be authorized to execute the same; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS. Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in all things approved. Section 2. That the form of Amendment No.2 to the Texas Community Development Program Contract No. 717118 for the Owner Assistance Fund Grant, attached hereto as Exhibit A, be, and the same is hereby, approved. Section 3. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to execute, on behalf of the City of Paris, said Amendment No.2, under the terms and conditions and in the form shown in Exhibit A, attached hereto. Section 4. That this resolution shall be effective from and after its date of passage.
