RESOLUTION NO. 2000-067 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A HIGH CAPACITY TERM PRICING PLAN (HC-TPP) AGREEMENT FORM WITH SOUTHWESTERN BELL FOR THE INSTALLATION OF A POINT-TO-POINT T-t DATA LINE FROM CITY HALL TO PUBLIC WORKS; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City of Paris is in need of a data line to connect City Hall with Public Works in order to utilize its geographic information systems (GIS) software; and, WHEREAS, the best and least expensive method of such connection is a point-to-point T -I data line which is available from Southwestern Bell, and it is necessary that a High Capacity Term Pricing Plan (HC-TPP) Agreement Form be executed with Southwestern Bell for the installation of the same; and, WHEREAS, the form of the Agreement, attached hereto as Exhibit A, should, in all things, be approved, and the City Manager, Michael E. Malone, should be authorized to execute the same; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS: Section I. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in all things approved. Section 2. That the form of the High Capacity Term Pricing Plan (HC- TPP) Agreement Form with Southwestern Bell for the installation ofa point-to-point T-I data line from City Hall to Public Works be, and the same is hereby, approved. Section 3. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to execute, on behalf of the City of Paris, said Agreement, under the terms and conditions and in the form shown in Exhibit A, attached hereto. Section 4. That this resolution shall be effective from and after its date of passage. PASSED AND ADOPTED this 9th day of May, 2000. ~-~ ~'l1 ~~- Mayor
