<br />RESOLUTION NO. 2000-069 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, <br />PARIS, TEXAS, APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE <br />CONSTRUCTION OF STORM WATER DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS IN <br />THE 2300 BLOCK OF W. SHERMAN STREET; AUTHORIZING THE <br />ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR SAID CONSTRUCTION; MAKING <br />OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; <br />AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, plans and specifications for storm water drainage improvements in the 2300 <br />block of W. Sherman Street, which will include approximately 300 feet of storm sewer pipe and <br />related appurtenances, have been prepared by Earl Smith, with the title being given thereto of the <br />"2300 Block W. Sherman Street Storm Water Drainage Improvements Project - 2000: which <br />plans and specifications are recommended for approval by the City Engineer of the City of Paris; <br />and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is deemed appropriate that such plans and specifications be approved and <br />said project should be authorized for advertisement for bids; NOW, THEREFORE, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br />Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble of this resolution are hereby in all <br />things approved. <br /> <br />Section 2. That the plans and specifications for the "2300 Block W. Sherman Street Storm <br />Water Drainage Improvement Project - 2000" be, and the same are hereby, approved. <br /> <br />Section 3. That said construction project be advertised for bids to be received after due <br />notice at the office of the City Manager of the City of Paris, City Hall, 135 I st Street S.E., Paris, <br />Texas 75460, until 3:00 o'clock p.m. on Wednesday, July 5, 2000, at which time said bids will <br />be opened in the City Council Chamber, City Hall, 135 1st Street S.E., Paris, Lamar County, <br />Texas, and bids will be tabulated and presented to the City Council on the 10th day of July, 2000, <br />for the purpose of letting such bid. <br /> <br />Section 4.
