RESOLUTION NO. 2000-077 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF WATER/SEWER IMPROVEMENTS, STREET PAVING, AND DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS FOR EASTGATE SUBDIVISION FUNDED BY THE 1999 HOUSING INFRASTRUCTURE FUND PROGRAM GRANT, TDHCA #719068; AUTHORIZING THE ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR SAID CONSTRUCTION; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore, on the 4th day of November, 1999, in Resolution No. 99-129, accept the Grant Award entitled "1999 Housing Infrastructure Fund Program" Grant, TCDP Contract No. 719068, which authorized the preparation of plans and specifications for a project of construction of water/sewer improvements, street paving, and drainage improvements for Eastgate Subdivision; and, WHEREAS, such plans and specifications have been prepared by Patterson Engineering, with the title being given thereto of the "Eastgate Subdivision, TDHCA #719068" Project, which plans and specifications are recommended for approval by the City Engineer of the City of Paris; and, WHEREAS, it is deemed appropriate that such plans and specifications be approved and such projects be authorized for advertisement for bids; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS: Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in all things approved. Section 2. That the plans and specifications for the "Eastgate Subdivision, TDHCA #719068" Project be, and the same are hereby, approved. Section 3. That such construction project be advertised for bids to be received after due notice at the office of the City Manager of the City of Paris, City Hall, 135 1st Street S.E., Paris, Texas 75460, until 3:00 o'clock p.m. on Friday, June 30, 2000, at which time said bids will be opened in the City Council Chamber, City Hall, 135 1st Street S.E., Paris, Lamar County, Texas, and bids will be tabulated and presented to the City Council on the 10th day of July, 2000, for the purpose of letting such bid. Section 4. That this resolution shall be effective from and after the date of passage.
