Agricultural Operations <br />A motion- was made by Vic Ressler and seconded by Tony Daigle to <br />recommend approval of all permits applied for. The motion passed 5 -0. <br />4. Review annual FAA Inspection <br />The annual inspection was completed on July 30 -31, 1996. The City of <br />Paris corrected the deficiencies listed by the inspection by the correction <br />dates. All recommendations that were made by the FAA inspector have <br />been completed. The major discrepancy was the need for restriping the <br />primary runway by October 31, 1996. This project was completed at a <br />cost of $14,943.75 with the City of Paris paying 1/2 and the Texas <br />Department of Transportation providing the other 1/2 of the cost. This <br />was the first time grant funds were available for airport maintenance <br />projects. <br />5. Discuss status of 1996 -97 Airport Improvement Project: <br />This item was discussed in agenda item #7. <br />6. Discuss status of 1997-98-Airport Improvement Project: <br />During the past two weeks, City Staff has been reviewing proposals from <br />28 firms interested in this project. The list has been shortened to three <br />firms. These three firms will prepare formal proposals for the Selection <br />Committee to review the week of December 16, 1996. A final decision- on <br />the consultant will be released by December 23, 1996. <br />7. Review of terminal design with Architect: <br />Reeves Hayter reviewed the taxiway reconstruction part of the project. <br />The Board discussed with Mr. Hayter what was involved in the project and <br />also discussed what options were available for resurfacing areas next to <br />three hanger areas. <br />David Denny, Architect, reviewed the plans for the new terminal building. <br />After review of the plans by the Board, three recommendations were <br />
