MINUTES <br />AIRPORT ADVISORY BOARD <br />7x15 0.'CLOCK P.M. <br />TUESDAY, JANUARY 29, 1980 <br />CITY HALL <br />PARIS, TEXAS <br />The Airport Advisory Board met in regular session at City <br />Hall, Tuesday, January 29, 1980 at 7 :15 P.M. with the <br />following board members presents <br />1. Allie O'Brian <br />4. Tom Mallison <br />4. Jimmy Wrenn <br />5. Don Whitaker <br />The Meeting was called to order by Chairman Rex and the <br />minutes were approved. as mailed to the members. <br />Old Business: <br />1. Progress report on taxiways and ramps. <br />Jim Collier reported that the base is down, but that the <br />weather is preventing completion of the project. <br />2. Metro permit application approved by Board. <br />The motion to approve Metro's application was made by James <br />Moseley, and seconded by Allie O'Brian. The motion carried <br />unanimously. According to the terms of the lease agreement, <br />which will be voted upon during the Feb. 11 meeting of the <br />Council, Metro will have a staff member at the facility from <br />8 A.M. to 5 P.M. daily to record weather information. In <br />addition, Metro's rent will be raised from .45 to .55 per <br />square foot; from $2280.00 to $2785.20 per month. <br />3. Parking alternatives and cost estimates presented by <br />Darrell Gunn. <br />Several possible areas for the construction of additional <br />parking spaces were discussed. Darrell Gunn presented three <br />alternative sites to the Board. Area 2 was selected as the <br />site. Fencing and some road work was to be included. The <br />materials cost for 3,892 square feet @ $3.00 per square foot <br />would be $11,676 if city crews do the work. It was suggested <br />that the Board request $25,000.00 of the new city budget so <br />labor costs would be covered if the city could not provide <br />the equipment and labor. <br />
