MINUTES <br />AIRPORT ADVISORY BOARD <br />TUESDAY, OCTOBER 28, 1980 <br />CITY HALL <br />PARIS, TEXAS <br />CONFERENCE ROOM <br />7:15 O'CLOCK P.M. <br />The Airport Advisory Board met in regular session at City Hall Tuesday, <br />October 28, 1980 at 7:15 P.M. with the following board members present: <br />1. Rick Rex - Chairman <br />2. James Moseley <br />Others present were: <br />1. Jim Collier - Airport Manager <br />3. Dr. JoAnn Ondrovik - Sec. <br />4. Allie O'Brien <br />The meeting was called to order by Chairman Rex and the minutes were <br />approved as mailed to members. <br />Old Business: <br />1. Discussion of disposal of three old T- Hangars: <br />PAAC representatives were not present to report status. Discussion <br />was tabled till the next meeting. <br />2. Report by Mr. Collier on jet fuel storage and fuel truck: <br />All of the bids for the fuel truck were turned down. <br />The fuel tank bid was awarded to Heuberger Plumbing for about $14,000.00 <br />according to Mr. Collier. The tank will arrive in four weeks, installed <br />in four days, and the filter system will be hooked up at a later date. <br />The Council approved purchase of a fuel separator from Wilson Oil at $2,000.00. <br />The Council also approved "emergency requisition" for the purchase of the <br />fuel truck, in place of the bid system process. A lease - purchase arrangement <br />will be considered. Mr. Collier will evaluate a fuel truck located in Waco. <br />It is a 2000 gallon, 1974 International available for lease at $380.00 per <br />month with all major maintenance covered. Purchase price is $18,500.00. <br />New Business: <br />1. Discuss Metro Lease Agreement: <br />The lease is being drawn up by attorneys and Metro for Board and Council <br />approval. The Board discussed the lease length and recommended a one year <br />term with yearly Board review of the rental provisions. <br />2. Annual evaluation of permits and T- Hangar rental rates: <br />This was tabled for discussion at the November meeting. <br />3. A1lie O'Brien moved that the Airport Board write a note of appreciation <br />to.. the .City. C.ouncil.fo.r_ their action in the .approval of the jet fuel <br />storage and delivery program.
