MINUTES <br />AIRPORT ADVISORY BOARD <br />TUESDAY, JUNE 30, 1981 <br />7:15 O'CLOCK P.M. <br />CITY HALL <br />PARIS, TEXAS <br />The Airport Advisory Board met in regular session at City Hall, Tuesday, <br />June 30, 1981 at 7:15 P.M. with the following board members present: <br />1. Rick Rex - Chairman <br />2. Dr. Joann Ondrovik <br />3. James Moseley <br />Others present were: <br />1. Jim Collier - Airport Manager <br />2. Don Whitaker <br />The minutes from the April 28th meeting were approved as previously mailed <br />since a quorum was not present for the May meeting. <br />Old Business: <br />1. Update on disposal of three (3) old T- Hangars. <br />Mr. Wrenn was not in attendance to report on this matter. The Pilot's <br />Association will be contacted to determine when they are prepared to <br />tear down the Hangars. <br />2. Update on FY 1981 -82 Budget progress. <br />Notification of grant approval is set for October. <br />3. Review the FAA lease on Directional Finder Site. <br />The lease has been returned as prepared and installation is pending <br />arrival of the parts. <br />4. Discuss weather observer function. <br />The information requested by mail has not been received. However, FAA <br />has approved altimeter settings for approach (call: 122.8) and this <br />change awaits the approach plates being changed. <br />New Business: <br />1. Metro Representative to speak to Board. <br />Gene Cannon gave a progress report about "Essential" service now provided <br />to Paris by Metro. Freight and boardings have decreased which could result <br />in dropping all Metro air service to Paris. Increased interest and support <br />for Metro flights were requested. Presently 96 -98% of the scheduled flights <br />are completed. <br />
