MINUTES <br />AIRPORT ADVISORY BOARD <br />TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 28, 1982 <br />CITY HALL - COUNCIL ROOM <br />7:15 P.M. <br />PARIS, TEXAS <br />The Airport Advisory Board met in regular session at City Hall, Tuesday, <br />September 28, 1982 with the following Board members present: <br />1. Richard Rex - Chairman <br />2. JoAnn Onrdovik <br />3. Allie O'Brien <br />4. James Moseley <br />5. FAA Representatives: <br />Peggy Whiteman <br />Chuck Hale <br />Also present were Airport Manager Jim Collier and an audience of approximately <br />15 people. <br />The minutes of the July 27, 1982 meeting were approved as mailed. <br />OLD BUSINESS: <br />1. None <br />NEW BUSINESS: <br />1. Planning Conference with FAA Staff: A joint planning meeting was held with <br />the Ft. Worth FAA representatives to establish priorities for the top ten <br />needs to be met in the next 5 years. These are as follows: <br />a. Fuel storage and access ramp. <br />b. Fire truck storage and pilot's lounge and administrative area. <br />c. Overlay and taxiway lighting and extension of taxiway "A ". <br />d. Paving ramp and aircraft storage - -- expand existing aprons west. <br />e. N/S runway overlay and associated drainage improvements. <br />f. Total airport drainage improvements. <br />g. Overlay of runway 1331. <br />h. Overlay of taxiway "B ". <br />The Airport Improvement Act (API) effective October 1, 1982 is a Title V, <br />seven year program which will provide funds for airports throughout the <br />country. <br />1982 emplanements and air taxi operations will determine eligibility for a <br />special funding category in addition to the general fund. The Board will re- <br />view and revise recommendations periodically. <br />2. 60 day review of new permits: Austin Ellis' permit was reviewed with no <br />action taken. His permit was reconfirmed by the Board. <br />3. Review lease of Jimmy Wrenn: Wrenn's lease was reviewed; Terry K. Haynes <br />was consulted. The Board determined that Wrenn's leasing of space is in con- <br />flict with his lease with the City. Mr. Wrenn's lease with the City is for <br />the purpose of providing maintenance services at the airport, not for releasing <br />as hangar space. <br />
