MINUTES <br />AIRPORT ADVISORY BOARD <br />WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 8, 1982 <br />CITY HALL - COUNCIL ROOM <br />PARIS, TEXAS <br />The Airport Advisory Board met in session at City Hall, Wednesday, December <br />8, 1982 with the following members present: <br />1. Richard Rex - Chairman <br />2. James Moseley <br />3. Allie O'Brien <br />4. Louise Hagood <br />Also present were Airport Manager Jim Collier and an audience of approximately <br />11 people. <br />The minutes of September 28, 1982 meeting were approved as mailed. <br />OLD BUSINESS: <br />1. Review UNICOM frequency change: The Airport Manager reported on the <br />UNICOM frequency change. While no official notification has been received, <br />an official with the FCC in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania said it is felt there <br />will be no difficulty in making the change to 123.00. Further efforts to <br />speed up the official change will be taken by the manager. <br />NEW BUSINESS: <br />1. 60 day review of new permits: There are no new permit requests. <br />2. Annual review of all permits: The Board considered the applications <br />for renewal of annual permits from the following: <br />a. Randall Stevens - Waiting for a change in insurance policies. <br />Vote 4 -0. <br />b. Austin Ellis - Vote 4 - 0. <br />c. Paris Flight Center - Vote 4 - 0. <br />d. Roger Boxwell - Vote 3 -,l. <br />e. Jim Talpey - Vote 4 - 0. <br />The Board recommends to the City Council that permits be renewed to the above <br />individuals. <br />Those with current permits have not to date requested renewal - James Howell, <br />Jimmy Wrenn and Metro Airlines. <br />3. Review of hangar rental rates: The Chairman reviewed the rental rates for <br />those present and the board discussed increases. It is recommended to the City <br />Council that the rental rates for hangar space at the airport for the next two <br />years be set at $75.00 per month for closed hangars and $45.00 per month for <br />open hangars. This proposal would exclude the 6 old hangars (5 open and 1 <br />closed) whose rates were set at the September meeting. <br />
