MINUTES <br />SPECIAL AIRPORT ADVISORY BOARD MEETING <br />TUESDAY, JULY 7, 1987 <br />• COUNCIL CHAMBERS - CITY HALL <br />PARIS, TEXAS <br />The meeting was called to order at 6:30 P.M. by Chairman Bill Boothe. <br />The following members were present: <br />Bill Boothe, Chairman <br />Vic Abeles <br />Joe Burress. <br />The following members were absent: <br />Greta Greb <br />J.W. Ashmore, Jr. <br />The minutes of the June 30, 1987 meeting were read and approved as written. <br />Mr. Boothe opened the discussion regarding Saber Aviation Lease Agreement <br />with the City of Paris. Purpose of meeting was to discuss the decision <br />made at the previous Board Meeting regarding the release of the bond. <br />Mr. Burress said that the Lease Agreement was not available at the previous <br />meeting and since that time, he had had the opportunity to review the Lease <br />Agreement. He now wanted to clarify several items in the best interest of <br />the City of Paris. Mr. Burress felt that at the last meeting the Board <br />wrongly advised the City Council and prior to the next Council Meeting, he <br />would like to change his vote. <br />Mr. Haynes gave an explanation to the Board regarding the procedures for <br />carrying out the conditions of the Lease Agreement. <br />Mr. Boothe discussed what in his opinion were items in the Lease Agreement <br />he felt were not or have not been addressed. <br />Mr. Sadler offered his reasons for requesting the Council to return his bond. <br />Mr. Sadler then told the Board the improvements to the Airport that he had <br />accomplished since he became the Fixed Base Operator. <br />Mr. Abeles stated his reasons for wanting to reconsider his vote at the <br />previous meeting and his desire to see the Fixed Base Operator to remain at <br />Cox Field. <br />A vote was taken by the Board to reconsider the action previously taken at <br />the meeting on June 30, 1987. The vote to reconsider carried with three (3) <br />votes in favor of. <br />Mr. Boothe discussed the alternative of possibly putting up the jet fuel <br />truck as collateral instead of holding the bond requirement.
