MINUTES AIRPORT ADVISORY BOARD TUESDAY, JUNE 30, 1987 COX FIELD TERMINAL PARIS, TEXAS The meeting was called to order by Chairman Bill Boothe at 6:00 O'clock P.M. The following members were present: The following members were absent: Bill Boothe Joe Burress Vic Abeles. J.W. Ashmore, Jr. Greta Greb. In addition, Jim Collier, Airport Manager, T.K. Haynes, City Attorney, Rodger Sadler of Saber Aviation, and Mr. Joe Pridemore of Pridemore Fence Co. were in attendance. The Minutes of the June 2, 1987 meeting were approved as read. Mr. Joe Pridemore reported the following on the security gate: a. 1 Year Warranty b. $18.00 per remote unit c.. Chain Link Gate - $130.00 plus installation d. Installed operator - $1500.00 A recommendation was made that we, the Board,Vote on the two systems looked at. One was a $3800 electric gate and the other was $1630 for a solar unit. Vote was taken to recommend the Pridemore Fence Co. bid at $1630.00. Vote was in favor 3 ayes, 0 nays. Thanks were given to Mr. T.K. Haynes for coming to the meeting for legal support. Request was made to move to Item #8 of the Agenda for the report on Saber Aviation bond. Mr. Haynes reported on the legal aspects of the bond and indicated the fuel truck was not in this bond. Vote was taken to approve the release of Saber Aviation from the bond with 3 ayes and 0 nays. The report on sealing the runway revealed that there had been no action taken due to the rainy weather. Mr. Collier reported that there had been no _ movement on the drainage project either due to the failure of City crews having the time to get to the job. The Board asked Mr. Collier to keep calling the City because a $300.00 job might ruin a complete sealing job. The rotating beacon was to be installed the early part of July according to Jim Collier, Airport Manager.
