MINUTES <br />AIRPORT ADVISORY BOARD <br />TUESDAY, JUNE 30, 1987 <br />COX FIELD TERMINAL <br />PARIS, TEXAS <br />The meeting was called to order by Chairman Bill Boothe at 6:00 O'clock P.M. <br />The following members were present: <br />The following members were absent: <br />Bill Boothe <br />Joe Burress <br />Vic Abeles. <br />J.W. Ashmore, Jr. <br />Greta Greb. <br />In addition, Jim Collier, Airport Manager, T.K. Haynes, City Attorney, Rodger <br />Sadler of Saber Aviation, and Mr. Joe Pridemore of Pridemore Fence Co. were in <br />attendance. <br />The Minutes of the June 2, 1987 meeting were approved as read. <br />Mr. Joe Pridemore reported the following on the security gate: <br />a. 1 Year Warranty <br />b. $18.00 per remote unit <br />c.. Chain Link Gate - $130.00 plus installation <br />d. Installed operator - $1500.00 <br />A recommendation was made that we, the Board,Vote on the two systems looked at. <br />One was a $3800 electric gate and the other was $1630 for a solar unit. Vote was <br />taken to recommend the Pridemore Fence Co. bid at $1630.00. Vote was in favor <br />3 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Thanks were given to Mr. T.K. Haynes for coming to the meeting for legal support. <br />Request was made to move to Item #8 of the Agenda for the report on Saber Aviation <br />bond. Mr. Haynes reported on the legal aspects of the bond and indicated the fuel <br />truck was not in this bond. Vote was taken to approve the release of Saber Aviation <br />from the bond with 3 ayes and 0 nays. <br />The report on sealing the runway revealed that there had been no action taken <br />due to the rainy weather. <br />Mr. Collier reported that there had been no _ movement on the drainage project either <br />due to the failure of City crews having the time to get to the job. The Board <br />asked Mr. Collier to keep calling the City because a $300.00 job might ruin a <br />complete sealing job. <br />The rotating beacon was to be installed the early part of July according to Jim <br />Collier, Airport Manager. <br />
