MINUTES <br />AIRPORT ADVISORY BOARD <br />TUESDAY, OCTOBER 29, 1985 <br />6:00 P.M. COY, FIELD TERMINAL <br />The meeting was called to order with the following members present: <br />J. W. Ashmore, Bill Boothe, Chairman, Joe Burres, Greta Grebb, Eric Clifford <br />and Jim Collier (airport manager). <br />Members absent: None. <br />Minutes from the September 24, 1985 meeting were approved as written. <br />OLD BUSINESS: <br />1. Report on the Airport Promotion Plan. No report was ready at this time. <br />It was decided to drop this item from the agenda until further notice. <br />2. Report on access to the airport. Eric Clifford and Joe Burress reported <br />that the Air Service Committee will ask for a joint meeting with the <br />Industrial Development Board to discuss mutual interest in developing <br />additional access to the airport. The committee will have no further <br />suggestions or recommendations until there is an obvious need for such <br />recommendations to the city. <br />3. Report on the City Council's decission regarding installation of an ADF <br />at the airport and airport lighting_ <br />Eric Clifford reported that the city has appropriated as a non - budget <br />item $3,000. for the installation of an ADF at Cox Field. Jim Collier <br />has sent in the application for the installation at a total cost of <br />$16,000. TAC will pay $12,000., the City of Paris $3,000. and Mr. Sadler <br />will contribute $1,000. The FAA will maintain the facility at no cost <br />to the City. <br />The City also appropriated $400.00 to area lighting at the airport. This <br />will allow us to replace some of the present incandescent lights with <br />more efficient mercury - vapor lamps. <br />NEW BUSINESS: <br />1. There being no new business to come before the Commettee the meeting <br />adjourned at 6:45 P.M. <br />
