page 2 <br />New Business: <br />1. The committee reviewed the airport development <br />recommendations in Part I of the Joint Planning Committee of <br />August 30, 1984, report. The recommendations in Part I are <br />awaiting funding that may come from the FAA or some other outside <br />source. If and when funds become available, the items listed in <br />order of priority in Part I will be undertaken. The board makes <br />no specific recommendations concerning the master plan or the <br />recommendations of the JPC on Aug. 30, 1984. The city council <br />should be provided with a copy of the recommendations of the <br />Joint Planning Conference so they can be familiar with the current <br />needs and priority order listed on that report. <br />The advisory board does recommend to the airport management and <br />the city council that every effort possible be made to insure that all <br />three runways at Cox Field be kept open and as active as possible. <br />Cox Field is one of the very few airports in this part of the state <br />that provides a crosswind runway option. <br />2. The next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, March 26, <br />1985, at Cox Field. <br />3. The meeting was adjourned at 6:40 p.m. <br />0 <br />
