MINUTES <br />AIRPORT ADVISORY BOARD <br />TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 29, 1983 <br />7:15 O'CLOCK P.M. <br />CITY COUNCIL CHAMBERS <br />CITY HALL <br />The Airport Advisory Board met in regular session Tuesday, November 29, 1983 <br />at 7:15 P.M. with the following members present: <br />1. Richard Rex - Chairman <br />2. Dr. Edward Keller <br />3. Bill Boothe <br />4. Gene Sudduth <br />5. Kristina Campbell - Secretary <br />Also present were Jim Collier, Airport Manager, Austin Ellis, Jimmy Wrenn <br />and Billie Wrenn. <br />1. Minutes of last meeting were approved as read. <br />2. Call for items on next agenda. <br />A. Mr. Rex read a letter from Joe Graham concerning ag - spraying operations <br />at Cox Field. This will be placed on the agenda for the next meeting as: <br />Effect of Agricultural Operations on Cox Field. <br />B. Mr. Boothe asked the board to review information on the new radio tower <br />south of Paris and see what notice was given to the public prior to its <br />construction. <br />C. Mr. Boothe asked the Board to look at the airport's system for receiving <br />competitive bids on gas and oil prices. Mr. Gcllier is to bring figures on <br />the sale of oil and gas at Cox Field. <br />Mr. Sudduth asked for a letter to be written to Mayor Graham requesting <br />clarification of his request to the Board concerning ag- operations. Mr. Rex <br />stated he would write the letter to Mayor Graham. <br />3. Budget Report - The Board again requested it receive the monthly receipts <br />and disbursments report for Cox Field. <br />4. Review recommendations and actions of City Council - The Board asked that <br />the Chairman of the Advisory Board be sent excerpts from the City Council <br />meetings pertaining to Airport business. <br />OLD BUSINESS: <br />1. Moving Operations Office - Mr. Collier reported that the City Planner <br />has written to the T.A.C. concerning funds left over from their grant to Cox <br />Field. This was done to determine if these funds could be used to build a <br />fence around the fuel tanks and build a hut. <br />The Board recommended that Cox Field oil lease money be used to match the <br />T.A.C. funds. <br />
