MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />OF THE <br />BUILDING AND STANDARDS COMMISSION <br />Monday, January 27, 2003 <br />3:00 P.M. <br />1. The Building and Standards Commission Meeting was called to order by <br />Chad Brown at 3:OOP.M. <br />2. The roll was called by Brad Archer. <br />A. The following members were present: <br />Chad Brown Mary Crumpler <br />Brad Archer Lucius Joe, Jr. <br />Harrell Tippitt Pike Burkhart <br />B. The following members were absent: <br />Tommy Robinson Mark Rothfuss <br />Vic Ressler Billy Hill <br />Ward Hall <br />3. Approval of Minutes of December 16, 2002: <br />A motion was made by Mary Crumpler to approve the meeting minutes, and the <br />motion was seconded by Harrell Tippitt. The motion carried unanimously. <br />4. General discussion on the function of the Building and Standards <br />Commission and the Substandard and Dangerous Buildings and Structures <br />Ordinance: <br />Tommy Haynes led the discussion and fielded questions from the members of the <br />Commission. <br />5. Presentation, discussion of and possible action on draft rules to conduct <br />meetings and public hearings: <br />John Lestock explained the drafted rules. Harrell Tippit made a motion to approve <br />and adopt the rules as they were presented, and the motion was seconded by Brad <br />Archer. The motion passed unanimously. <br />6. Update on status of City of Paris being designated as a Certified Local <br />Government: <br />Tommy Haynes stated that we are still waiting on approval at the Federal level. <br />
