COA# 17-1444 Fencing, Ms. Reaierspi-eseiiteripictures of the existing./ence and <br />documentation noting theY are working together with the adjacent property owners to <br />fence in the alleY between the Lickety Split Wine Bar, 15 SIF /" Street and Paris <br />Communidy Theatre Brown Center, She explained theftnee ivas parallel with the street <br />and iiws attached with 4 screws. Chairman Dux asked why afience was needed, Mr. <br />Paris explained the fence is needed per TABQbr private clubs who are not serving over <br />5.1%jbod. (7ommissione), Dux noted that the design standards state unless there is <br />evidence q1'existingfiaces, then nofince should he installed in the commercial district, <br />however he knows of at least 2 that have been installed since the standards were <br />developed. Ile also cautioned the commission of importance to,tbllow the design <br />standards so not to give personal opinion. Commissioner Dux stated that it is not the <br />commission's intention to hurt business, but to protect the district and its assets. After <br />discussion Qf the physical./eatures ofthe existing fence including the attachment, pad <br />locks etc, a motion was made by Commissioner Hider to approve the./ence as temporal <br />installation, with the condition it be removed immediately if wine lounge location <br />changes. Motion was seconded by Commissioner Ernmite. Motion Carried 3 -1, <br />Commissioner Vandiver dissented, <br />B. COA# 17-1443- facade restoration, 36 W. Plaza. The Mof <br />.fitts presented their copies of <br />renderings firom the Texas Historical Commission Main Street Design Architects. <br />Commissioner Dux commended them.for doing their homework on restoration of the <br />ftontfa(ade with historical accuracy. The Mol I n <br />Y fitts are p an ing on unbricking the <br />upper windows on thefironljtacade, and replacing them blanker panels to replicate <br />
