CITY COUNCIL AGENDA <br />Notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Paris shall meet in regular session <br />at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, January 22, 2018. The meeting will be held at the City Council <br />Clamber, 107 E. Kauftnan Street, in Paris, Texas. The matters to be discussed and acted <br />upon are as follows: <br />Opening Agenda <br />1. Call inecting to order. <br />2. Invocation, <br />3. Pledge of Allegiance. <br />4. A. Citizens' forum. <br />(Persons desiring to, address the Council must limit their presentation to no more than two minutes, Unless <br />an item is posted on the Agenda, the Texas Open Meetings Act prohibits the Council from responding to <br />any comments other than to refer the matter to a future agenda, to an existing policy, or to a staff person <br />with specific factual information. Claims against the City, Council Members, or employees, as well as <br />individual personnel appeals are not appropriate for citizens' forum.) <br />If necessary, the City Council may convene into Executive Session under Chapter 551 of the Texas <br />Government Cade regarding any item on this agenda. <br />B. Proclamation declaring January 25, 2018 as The Point -in -Time Count, <br />Consent Agenda <br />Items on the Consent Agenda are approved by a single' action of the Council, with such approval applicable <br />to all items appearing on the Consent Agenda. A Council Member may request any item to be removed <br />from the Consent Agenda and considered as a separate item, <br />5. Approve minutes from the meetings on December 9 and December 11, 2017. <br />6. Receive reports and/or minutes from the following boards, commissions, and committees: <br />a. Housing Authority (9-19-2017) <br />b. Paris Public Library Advisory Board (1.1-15-2017) <br />c. Paris Economic Development Corporation (11-10-2017 & 12-1-2017) <br />d. Main Street Advisory Board (I 1-14-201.7 & 12-12-2017) <br />e. Historic Preservation Commission (11-8-2017 & 12-13-2017) <br />f. Board of Adjustment (11-7-2017 & 12-5-2017) <br />g. Planning & Zoning Commission (12-4-2017) <br />h, Paris -Lamar County Board of Health (6-19-2017 & 8-21-2017) <br />i, Love Civic Center (11-9-2017) <br />7. Receive November and December monthly financial reports. <br />8. Re -approve the City Investment Policy, <br />9. Receive December drainage report. <br />
