MINUTES <br />SPECIAL MEETING <br />CITY OF PARIS, BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT <br />CITY OF PARIS - CITY HALL <br />COUNCIL CHAMBERS CONFERENCE ROOM <br />PARIS, TEXAS <br />TUESDAY, JANUARY 2,2018 <br />12:00 O'CLOCK P.M. <br />The Board qfA4jusiment meeting was called to order by David Hamilton, Chairman at <br />12. 00 Jr. m, <br />The following mernbers were present: David Hamilton, Louise flagood, Jerry.Haning <br />and Deanna Maiming <br />The following members were absent: Marilyn Smith and Chris Fitzgerald (Alternate <br />Board Member) <br />Also present was Carla Easton, City Engineer; Stephanie Harris, City Attorney, Triniti <br />Frazier, City Staff, Sue Lancaster, City Council I.,iaison and concerned citizens. <br />2. Approval ofininutesftom previous meetings, (December 5, 2017) <br />Motion was made by David Hamilton, seconded by Louise Hagood to approve minutes for <br />the December 5, 2017 meeting, Motion carried 4-0. <br />3. Public hearing to consider and take action on the petition qf'Brad Hutchison, Partner on <br />behal/'qf J & B Paris Partners on Lot 4-5-6, Block 3, qflhe Slellrose Addition, being <br />located at 2301 Simpson S51reet. <br />A. Section 11.5-3 (b) (I a -d) of the Fence Ordinance which provides as follows: <br />(b) Fence heights: <br />(1)Frontyardfienee requirements. <br />a. No fence shall be permitted in the front yard with the following exceptions: <br />i. On lots zoned historic overlay district (HD) and in accordance with tile <br />design standards adopted by the historic preservation commission. <br />ii. On lots in excess of two (2) acres in size which are used for single-family <br />residential purposes. <br />iii. On lots which are zoned and used for LI or HI purposes. <br />
