MINUTES <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />CITY OF PARIS HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION <br />LOVE CIVIC CENTER <br />2025 S. COLLEGIATE STREET <br />PARIS, TEXAS <br />MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 27, 2004 <br />4:00 O'CLOCK P.M. <br />1. The Historic Preservation Commission Meeting was called to order by <br />Chairman Arvin Starrett at 4:00 P.M. <br />A. The following members were present: <br />Paul Denney, Acting Secretary <br />Sue Lancaster <br />Barbara Wilson <br />B. The following members were absent: <br />Ann Rodgers <br />Claudia Hunt <br />Jerry Raper <br />Alternates: Becki Norment <br />Brian Wear <br />C. Also present was Lindsey Harper, Main Street Coordinator. <br />2. Approval of minutes from previous meetings. Barbara Wilson stated the <br />minutes of the July 26, 2004, meeting should be amended to state that Arvin <br />Starrett was absent from the meeting. In the August 11, 2004, minutes, <br />Commissioner Denney advised the Commission that he thought that the <br />structure at 610 W. Austin was historically significant and could be <br />rehabilitated. However, it should be noted that the structure is not historically <br />significant and cannot be rehabilitated. Motion to approve the minutes with <br />the clarifications mentioned was made by Barbara Wilson, seconded by Sue <br />Lancaster. Motion carried unanimously. <br />3. Discussion of and possible action on approving the following Certificates of <br />Appropriateness: <br />A. 361 Grand Avenue - Salvation Army. Motion was made by Barbara <br />Wilson to approve the design, based on three conditions: the brick, <br />store front paint color, and the metal color, seconded by Paul Denney. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />B. 110 Clarksville Street - John Fisher. Motion was made to approve the <br />
