<br />RESOLUTION NO. 98-001 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore, on the 10th day of July, <br />1995, in Resolution 95-078, request financial assistance for taxiway improvements, navigational <br />aids, and terminal reconstruction at Cox Field Airport, Paris, Texas, from the State of Texas <br />through the Texas Department of Transportation, Aviation Division; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said grant was accepted on September 19, 1995, by the execution of the <br />Texas Department of Transportation Airport Project Participation Agreement, TxDOT Project No. <br />AP PARIS 4, TxDOT CSJ No. 9601PARIS, between the State of Texas, through the Texas <br />Department of Transportation, and the City of Paris; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, bids for furnishing plant, labor, materials, and equipment, and performing <br />all work required for the "Cox Field Airport Taxiway and Hangar Access Lane Improvements" <br />Project were received until 2:00 o'clock p.m., Tuesday, January 6, 1998; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the best bid for such construction was made by Buster Paving Company, <br />Inc., of Sulphur Springs, Texas, and it should be awarded the bid for the same following formal <br />Texas Department of Transportation concurrence; NOW, THEREFORE, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, that the bid <br />of Buster Paving Company, Inc. for the "Cox Field Airport Taxiway and Hangar Access Lane <br />Improvements" Project, being a part of TxDOT Project No. AP PARIS 4, TxDOT CSJ No. <br />9601 PARIS, in the amount of $164,853.65, be, and the same is hereby, accepted and let <br />following formal Texas Department of Transportation concurrence, conditioned upon said <br />contractor meeting all of the terms and specifications included in the bid documents. <br /> <br />PASSED AND ADOPTED this 12th day of January, 1998. <br /> <br />q~ <br /> <br />Eric S.
