<br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
<br />PARIS, TEXAS, RATIFYING A SUPPLEMENTAL GRANT APPLICATION
<br />AND ACCEPTING A GRANT A WARD FROM THE OFFICE OF THE
<br />GOVERNOR, CRIMINAL JUSTICE DIVISION TO FUND THE RED RIVER
<br />VALLEY DRUG TASK FORCE, GRANT NO. DB-02-AI0-13854-06, FOR
<br />THE GRANT PERIOD JUNE 1, 2004 THROUGH SEPTEMBER 30, 2005;
<br />MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE
<br />SUBJECT; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, a Supplemental Grant A ward has been proposed by the Office of the Governor,
<br />Criminal Justice Division, to fund the Red River Valley Drug Task Force during the grant period
<br />June 1,2004 through September 30, 2005; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the City Council desires to ratify any grant application documents necessary
<br />and associated with the aforesaid supplemental grant award; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris, as the named grantee, desires to formally
<br />accept the aforesaid supplemental grant and to approve all documents associated therewith, including
<br />the Grant Supplemental Acceptance Notice; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the City Council has agreed and continues to agree that, in the event ofloss or
<br />misuse of the Criminal Justice funds, the City Council of the City of Paris assures that the funds will
<br />be returned to the Criminal Justice Division in full; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the City Council desires to authorize the Mayor, City Manager, and appropriate
<br />City staff to accept and implement said Supplemental Grant; NOW, THEREFORE,
<br />
<br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS,
<br />TEXAS:

<br />Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in all things
<br />approved.
<br />
<br />Section 2. That all grant documents associated with seeking a Supplemental Grant Award
<br />for funding for the Red River Valley Drug Task Force to the Office of the Governor, Criminal
<br />Justice Division, for the period beginning June 1,2004, and ending September 30, 2005, as the same
<br />have been proposed and executed, if any, to pursue such grant on behalf of the Red River Valley
<br />Drug Task Force, shall be and are hereby in all things ratified.

<br />Section 3. That a Statement of Supplemental Grant Award, including an award of
<br />$972,143.00, with a grantee cash match in the full amount of$182,225,OO and an in kind match of
<br />$40,940.00 for a total project cost of$I,195,308.00, for that grant period beginning June 1,2004,
<br />and ending September 30, 2005, including all documents associated therewith as attached hereto and
