RESOLUTION NO. 2005-078 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, ACCEPTING THE CONVEYANCE OF AN IRON BANISTER BRIDGE FROM LAMAR COUNTY FOR PLACEMENT AND USE IN HERITAGE PARK; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, Lamar County is in possession of a surplus iron banister bridge approximately 18' x 60' wide; and, WHEREAS, the City of Paris has a need and a use for such a bridge to span a creek in Heritage Park located within the incorporated city limits of the City of Paris, Texas; and, WHEREAS, Lamar County and the City of Paris agree that such a placement and use of the bridge would constitute a useful public purpose; and, WHEREAS, Lamar County and the City of Paris agree that the useful public purpose of placing and using the bridge in "Heritage Park" constitutes fair value consideration for the bridge; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS: Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in all things approved. Section 2. That the City Council does hereby approve and authorize the acceptance of one 18' x 60' iron banister bridge as provided by Lamar County for placement and use in Heritage Park, and the City Council specifically finds and determines that the use of said bridge in Heritage Park constitutes fair value consideration for same. Section 3. That this resolution shall be effective from and after its date of passage. PASSED AND APPROVED this 11th day of July, 2005. ATTEST:
