Regular Council Meeting <br />Februiary 12, 2018 <br />Page 3 <br />11. Discuss and act on ORDINANCE NO. 2018-004: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY <br />COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS, AMENDING CHAPTER 12, ARTICLE <br />11, "LIQUEFIED PETROLEUM GAS," BY REMOVING RESTRICTIONS AND <br />LIMITATIONS ON THE USE OF LIQUEFIED PETROLEUM GAS CONSISTENT <br />WITH STATE LAW; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED <br />TO THE SUBJECT; PROVIDING A REPEALER CLAUSE, A SEVERABILITY <br />CLAUSE, A SAVINGS CLAUSE AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE, <br />City Attorney Stephanie Harris explained that in 2010 Council adopted all ordinance <br />prohibiting the use of liquefied petroleum gas within 100 feet of a natural gas distribution line. <br />Ms. Harris informed Council that there had been changes in state law and the proposed <br />amendment repealed the prohibition and clarified that liquefied petroleum gas was governed by <br />the IFCG, the IFC, the IBC, and the IPC as adopted and amended by the City, <br />A Motion to approve this item was made by Mayor Clifford and seconded by Council <br />Member Drake. Motion carried, 7 ayes — 0 nays. <br />12. Consider and approve future events for City Council and/or City Staff pursuant to <br />Resolution No. 2004-081. <br />Nothing was referenced, <br />13. Adjournment. <br />There being no further business, a Motion to adjourn was made by Council Member <br />Drake and was seconded by Mayor Clifford. Motion carried, 7 ayes — 0 nays.
