Regular Council Meeting <br />February 26, 2018 <br />Page 5 <br />reviewed economic impacts of military bases, background information, the study areas, the <br />policy committee, strategy highlights, recommendations and implementation resources, <br />A Motion to approve the Resolution was made by Mayor Clifford, and seconded by <br />Council Member Knox. Motion carried, 4 ayes — 0 nays, <br />18. Discuss and act on the 2018 Plan of Work for Street Bond Reconstruction. <br />City Manager John Godwin reviewed with City Council the completed projects, the near <br />completed projects and the proposed 2018 project list. He said lie was asking them to approve <br />the second group of projects and they could add to or subtract frorn the list which contained six <br />streets. Mr, Godwin said Church Street was a two year project and they conducted a public <br />neighborhood meeting last week, because Church Street was close to beginning construction. He <br />reviewed the other five streets explaining the details of each project. Mr. Godwin said Stillhouse <br />had been added, because it had worsened. He also said at the request of Council Member Drake, <br />the remainder of Collegiate Street was added to the list. He referenced the streets in yellow on <br />the map, citing they were unfunded. Mr. Godwin said staff was hoping that two or three or half <br />of those streets would get funded, but that would depend on the budget. <br />Council Member Knox said she could not be at the Church Street neighborhood meeting, <br />but that she heard it was excellent. Council Member Knox said in Council Member Drake's <br />absence, she had asked that they pull minutes from when Mr. Don Wilson spoke about specific <br />streets he would like added. She said one of those streets was North Collegiate, which, looked <br />like it was on this list. She said she thought the other one was 31" Street, Mr. Godwin said 3 I't <br />Street was a very bad street and was not added to the initial list because it was not a collector <br />street. He said it could be added and he would be happy to do that. <br />A Motion to approve the 2018 Plan of Work for Street Bond Reconstruction was made by <br />Council Member, Portugal, and seconded by Mayor Clifford. Motion carried, 4 ayes — 0 nays. <br />19. Consider and approve future events for City Council and/or City Staff pursuant to, <br />Resolution No. 2004-081. <br />No future events were referenced. <br />20. Adjournment. <br />There being no further business, a Motion to adjourn was made by Mayor Clifford and <br />was seconded by Council Member Portugal, Motion carried, 4 ayes — 0 nays, The meeting was <br />adjourned at 6:25 p.m. <br />STEVEN J.
