Jerry McDaniel, Public Works Director <br />SUBJECT: STREET MATERIALS ANNUAL BID/REBID FOR PORTLAND CEMENT <br />CONCRETE CLASS A (5 SACK), PORTLAND CEMENT CONCRETE CLASS C (6 <br />SACK), GROUT (5 SACK) AND GROUT (6 SACK.) <br />DATE: February 28, 2018 <br />BACKGROUND: This is the annual bid for roadway materials to be used by the Street, Water <br />Distribution, Sewer Maintenance, in(] Parks Divisions. The material competitively bid includes <br />Street Materials Annual bid/rebid for Portland Cement Concrete Class A (5 Sack), Portland <br />Cement Concrete Class C (6 Sack), Grout (5 Sack) and Grout (6 Sack.). <br />STATLYS OF ISSUE. The City of Paris Public Works Department has received sealed bids for <br />street materials and would like to award bids to the lowest bidder for each material. The bid <br />tabulation sheet is attached for details of the bids and materials, with low bids highlighted. Only <br />one contractor placed a rebid for Portland Cement Concrete Class A (5 Sack), Portland Cement <br />Concrete Class C (6 Sack), Grout (5 Sack) and Grout (6 Sack). <br />BUDGET: Monies are budgeted in the Street. Water Distribution, Sewer Maintenance, and Park <br />Divisions. <br />RECOMMENDATION: Award bid as indicated in tabulation attachment. <br />
