D. E. F. G. cannot be rehabilitated or designated on the <br />National Register of Historic places, Recorded Texas landmark or City of Paris local landmark, seconded by <br />,Commissioner Hider, motion carried 4 - 0 <br />A. 1524 E Price <br />B. 1440 Sperry <br />C. 348 SW 13th <br />D. 1238 NW 18th <br />E. 24001 Main <br />F. 646 NE 17th <br />G. 1191 Grove <br />Commissioner Dux only concern with item A. is if it is occupied. Cheri Bedford let the commission know that <br />houses that are occupied are not sent to Buildings and Standards Commission. Commissioner Hider said he had <br />viewed the houses on Google maps, and noted the house looked the same in 2013. <br />A motion was made that item A. be put back on the consent agenda by Linda Vandiver, seconded by <br />Commissioner Emmite, motion carried 4-0 <br />Commissioner Hider gave the committee update for the design standards. The committee Met OD Monday <br />February 9, 2018 reviewed and consider former recommendations from previous commissions, <br />• Painting of original brick on facades: no painting of an original brick should be allowed. If brick has <br />been painted in the past, and a touch up or repaint is needed, making recommendations for removal <br />would be an ideal option, but if this is not cost effective, then painting should be considered following <br />the historic color palette. <br />• Commissioner Emmite discussed fencing materials and how it should be mounted so as not to damage <br />any historic structures. Commissioner Vandiver asked if specifies height and locks could be addressed. <br />Commissioner Dux mentioned there was a lot of information on residential fencing. The committee will <br />talk with specific clarification and reread the sign ordinance <br />• Siding materials: research and discuss with Paul Denney, discussion on wood grain siding, clapboard <br />and vinyl for new construction and repairs should be clarified. <br />• Further explanation and clarification should be made on the window types allowed, and spelled out <br />details such as aluminum clad wooden ivindmvsfiberglass clad, andfiberglass. <br />Commissioner Dux made a recommendation for the committee to consider; should a property owner <br />propose a restoration prQject of a fi-ont facade, the restoration should be consistent to one time period on <br />the entirety of the building, For example, if aslip cover that was installed at a later time period is <br />
