JOINT ELECTION AC REEMFNT between The North Lamar Independent School District (the District) and ]'lie City ofParisTcxas (the City) BY THE TERMS OF THIS AGREEMENT, the District and the City do hereby agree, pursuant to the provisions of Section 1 l.0581 of the Texas Education Code and Chapter 271, Texas Election Code, to hot(] ajoint election on the uniform election date required to be held oil Saturday, May 5, 2018. The District (Places 1, 4 and 6) and the City (Districts 1, 2, 3 and 6) agree to share. the Lamar County C,ouilhousc Annex (County Services BUilding), 231 Lamar Avenue, Paris, Texas 75460, as the common polling location on election day. The District and tile City will ]told early voting at the Lainar County Courthousc Annex (County Services Building), 231 Larnar Avenue, Paris, Texas 75460. Both entities have contracted with Larnar County to provide electronic voting equipment that meets tile, requirements of the Texas Election Code and the federal ficip America Vote Act, the ES&S AutoMARK machines, to be utilized at the polling site. The District and the City will share election judges, and clerks and will equally share responsibility for compensation of election officers, All entities will share electronic voting machines as previously detailed. Both entities will share election supplies and associated cost.
