Mr. Michael <br />states that prompted hiiii to think about adding adequate housing :for his employees. fie <br />further states his proposal is for an upscale, brick, triplex lionle facing the road, with the <br />quadraplex off the back of the property, Mr. Michael states it would potentially be a gated <br />community of 7 units. fie further states he understands safety concerns and the need for <br />housing in the City of Paris. Mr. Michael states lie hopes the board Would consider <br />approving the petition. <br />Commissioner Arjunialid Hashmi asked City staff if the property could be divided into <br />three properties for single family homes. Carla Easton, City Engineer states that we haven't <br />checked for that and would need to see if three separate properties would meet our zoning <br />requirement as well as how the properties would be developed, <br />Ivan Garcia, resident of Continental Village Apartments, spoke in favor of the petition. Mr. <br />Garcia stated he is one of the athletic trainers that had trouble finding housing when he <br />moved from Ft. Worth in late July 2017. fie states had it not been for a coworker that <br />allowed him to live with them for two months he would have not been able to accept the job <br />and live in Paris. Mr. Garcia gave four scenarios of other coworkers that have had similar <br />experiences with difficulty finding housing in the City of Paris. Mr. Garcia asks the board <br />to consider approving the petition. <br />Public hearing was, declared closed. <br />Motion was made by Keith Flowers, seconded by Chad Lee to deny the petition. Motion <br />carried 6-0. <br />Motion was made by Ar.jumand Hashini, seconded by Chad Lindsey to bring John Lee back into <br />the meeting. Motion carried 6-0. <br />E. Consideration q1'and action on the Pinal Plat cif Lots 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33 & 34, Block A, <br />Stone Ridge Addition Phase 8, located in the 4600 Block ol'Boulder Lane, <br />Carla Easton, City Engineer reviewed the final plat with commissioners. <br />Motion was made by Keith Flowers, seconded by John Lee to approve the filial plat. <br />Motion carried 7-0. <br />7. Discussion regardingpolential nes t, inulti-Plex diielling unit zoning. <br />Alan Efrussy, Planning Manager discussed potential new multi-plex dwelling unit zoning <br />options with the board members. The commissioners provided feedback to city staff' with <br />exploring option 2. The general consensus of the board is to leave the 2F zone intact. <br />
