<br />Ver 1.10 <br />08/03 <br /> <br />b) Assess and compile information on damage to public and private <br />property and needs of disaster victims and formulate and carry out <br />programs to fill those needs. <br />c) If damages are beyond our capability to deal with, compile information <br />for use by our elected officials in requesting state or federal disaster <br />assistance. <br />d) If we are determined to be eligible for state or federal disaster <br />assistance, coordinate with state and federal agencies to carry out <br />authorized recovery programs. <br /> <br />e. <br /> <br />Public Works & Engineering. <br /> <br />City of Paris Public Works <br /> <br />1) Primary responsibility for this function is assigned to the City of Paris <br />Public Works with assistance from the city engineer. The director of public <br />works will prepare and maintain Annex K (Public Works & Engineering) to <br />this plan and supporting SOP'S. <br /> <br />2) Emergency tasks to be performed include: <br /> <br />a) Protect government facilities and vital equipment where possible. <br />b) Assess damage to streets, bridges, traffic control devices, and <br />other public facilities. <br />c) Direct temporary repair of vital facilities. <br />d) Restore damaged roads and bridges. <br />e) Restore waste treatment and disposal systems. <br />f) Arrange for debris removal. <br />g) General damage assessment support. <br />h) Building inspection support. <br />i) Provide specialized equipment to support emergency operations. <br />j) Support traffic control and search and rescue operations. <br /> <br />f. <br /> <br />Director of Utilities, City of Paris <br /> <br />Utilities. <br /> <br />1) Primary responsibility for this function is assigned to the Director of <br />Utilities. The Director of Utilities will prepare and maintain Annex L <br />(Energy and Utilities) to this plan and supporting SOP'S. <br /> <br />2) Emergency tasks to be performed include: <br /> <br />a) Prioritize restoration of utility service to vital facilities and <br />other facilities. <br />b) Arrange for the provision of emergency power sources <br />where required. <br />c) Identify requirements for emergency drinking water and <br />portable toilets to the department or agency responsible for <br />mass care. <br />d) Assess damage to, repair, and restore public utilities. <br />e) Monitor recovery activities of privately - owned utilities. <br /> <br />31 <br />
