<br />Ver1.10 <br />08/03 <br /> <br />The Salvation Army provides emergency a~sistance to include mass and <br />mobile feeding, temporary shelter, counseling, missing person services, <br />and the warehousing and distribution of donated goods including food, <br />clothing, and household items. It also provides referrals to government <br />and private agencies for special services. The Salvation Army also <br />provides feeding for emergency workers. <br /> <br />3) Southern Baptist Convention Disaster Relief. <br /> <br />Provides mobile feeding units staffed by volunteers. Active in providing <br />disaster childcare, the agency has several mobile childcare units and can <br />assist with clean-up activities, temporary repairs, reconstruction, <br />counseling, and bilingual services. <br /> <br />4) ARES. <br /> <br />The Lamar County Amateur Radio Emergency Service provides amateur <br />radio support for emergency operations, including communications <br />support in the EOC. <br /> <br />b. Business Support. <br /> <br />1) The list of businesses supporting emergency operations is continuously <br />changing. This list will be maintained and updated as new businesses <br />come into the area and old companies close or relocate. This information <br />is on file at American Red Cross, Lamar County Chapter and updated by <br />the ARC Director. <br /> <br />35 <br />
