D. 37 Clarksville; City Block 3, Lot 11 <br />Owner: TMRF, 508 S Church, Paris TX 75460 <br />Robert Talley stated owner present with 2 "contractors." This property came <br />before BSC in August 2017. Have re -inspected property recently and there are 2 <br />bad leaks in the roof, rotting and deteriorating wood. Owner has tried to brace <br />and built a platforrn to distribute the weight, but there are holes in the floor and <br />it's very dangerous. <br />Discussion with BSC members regarding safety of property and history. Owner <br />said he was just trying to keep the building standing until someone with the <br />(financial) means can restore it. <br />Fire Chief Larry Wright addressed BSC members stating the property is not safe <br />and would not send any of his crew into the building. Asked BSC to hold <br />downtown owners accountable for maintaining the buildings from a safety <br />standpoint. <br />Robert Talley's recommendation: Repair within 30 days or begin assessing <br />civil penalty of $10 per day. <br />Stephanie Harris stated repair orders have already been issued, so this would <br />be an amendment to the existing, orders. <br />Motion was made by Johnny Norris, seconded by Ben Vaughan to amend <br />existing recommendation to include $10 per day civil penalty after 30 days. <br />Motion carried unanimously. 4-0 <br />4. Code Enforcement update. <br />Last month has been too wet for demo of any structures. <br />1600 Ilk of 13"' NE will be cleaned up this week. City will remove all junk and rubbish <br />from property. <br />5. Future agenda items,. <br />6. Adjournment. <br />Motion was made by Johnny Norris, seconded by Mike Folmar to adjourn the <br />meeting at 4:20 pm.
