<br />RESOLUTION NO. 97-051 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Texas Automobile Theil Prevention Authority provides funding for <br />automobile thell prevention grants; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS. the Texas Automobile Theil Prevention Authority is providing a one-time <br />supplemental enhancement grant; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris is desirous of processing a supplemental <br />enhancement grant application for additional equipment in the amount of $19,021.34, with no <br />matching funds required; NOW, THEREFORE, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS: <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />I. That an application be made to thc Texas Automobile Theil Prevention Authority for <br />a Supplemental Enhancement Grant in the amount of $19,021.34, with no matching funds required. <br /> <br />2. That Michael E. Malone, City Manager of the City of Paris, be, and he is hereby, <br />appointed as the Authorized Ollicial of said project and is authorized and directed to execute, on <br />behalfofthe City of Paris, the application for grant in the form attached hereto as Exhibit A and the <br />grant acceptance notice at such time the grant is awarded. <br /> <br />3. That Karl Louis, Chief, Paris, Police Department, be, and he is hereby, appointed as <br />Project Director and is authorized to execute and deliver, on behalf of the City of Paris, all reports, <br />communications, assurances, and documents necessary for the completion of said project. <br /> <br />4. That W. E. Anderson, Director of Finance, be, and he is hereby authorized and <br />directed to serve as the Financial Ollicer for said project and to receive and distribute funds for the <br />purpose of purchasing additional equipment for the Automobile Theil Prevention Program. <br />
