PORCH <br />PORTE COCHERE <br />PORTICO <br />PRESSED METAL CEILING <br />PRESSED METAL SHINGLE ROOFING <br />GLOSSARY <br />Pitched roof — a roof that has a slope and is not <br />flat or horizontal. <br />Pivoted window — a window having a sash <br />which rotates about fixed vertical or horizontal <br />pivots, or points, located at or toward the center, <br />in contrast to one hung on hinges along an edge. <br />Plaque — a decorative or commemorative flat <br />plate attached to a wall or surface. <br />Plaster — a paste -like substance of sand, water, <br />and lime installed over another material to <br />provide a finished surface. <br />Plinth block — a small, slightly projecting block at <br />the bottom of the door trim, extending to the <br />finished floor. <br />Porch — a structure attached to a building to <br />shelter an entrance or to serve as a semi - <br />enclosed space; usually roofed and generally <br />open -sided.
