SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES <br />CITY OF PARIS HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION <br />May 22,2018 <br />12:15 p.m. <br />Present: <br />Chris Dux, Chairman <br />,Sarah Barbee <br />Glee Emmite <br />PRandy Hider, Secretary <br />oMatt Coyle (arrived late) <br />Staff: <br />Cheri Bedford HPO <br />Linda Vandiver <br />David Alarid <br />Linda Knox, Council Liaison <br />Guest. <br />Kris Estep, representing South Main Iron <br />Chairman Dux called the meeting to order at 12:15 p.m. <br />Commissioner Eremite rnade the notion to approve MAY 9, 2018 minutes, seconded by <br />Commissioner Dux, unanimous, <br />Kris Estep presented the signage request for South Main Iron, located at 255 SW Is' Street. <br />The proposed signage totals 9811, and includes a narrow rectangular black background with <br />white lettering of the business name, to be placed either above the entry door and first floor <br />windows or above the second story windows, as well as a sinall wheel and wing design on the <br />left upper side of structure. The owners plan on using the existing lights for illumination. There <br />was some discussion on lighting for the sign if the existing lights cannot be made in working <br />order. Hearing no other questions, Commissioner Hider made the motion to approve the sign <br />as presented, seconded by Commissioner Barbee, unanimous. <br />The following list of minor Certificate of Appropriateness approved in house was recieved by <br />the commission. <br />COA#1 8-0520 Signage on, 35 & 39 Lamar, Cotton Harvest Spa and Boutique <br />COA#I 8-0523 Signage on 118 1" Street SE, Twenty Seven Photography <br />Hearing no future agenda items, Commissioner Coyle made a motion to adjourn, seconded by <br />Commissioner Enu-nite, unanimous. <br />Minutes approved this <br />Chain-nan <br />day of 2018 <br />
