<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />, <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 97-129 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore, on the 9th <br />day of June, 1997, in Resolution No. 97-063 authorize an application to be made to <br />the United States Department of Justice, Bureau of Justice Assistance for the Local <br />Law Enforcement Block Grants Program, grant; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the United States Department of Justice, Bureau of Justice <br />Assistance has issued its Grant Award, entitled, "Local Law Enforcement Block <br />Grants Program Grant Award No. 97LBVX3205" for the period beginning October <br />I, 1997, ending September 30, 1999, in the total amount of $126, 139.00 requiring <br />matching contribution of $14,015.00; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, acceptance of the same must occur within forty-five (45) days of <br />the date of said award which occurred on September 30, 1997; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is deemed to be in the best interest of the citizens of Paris that <br />the City of Paris accept said Grant Award for a packet cluster mobile data information <br />system to continue to improve local law enforcement in the City of Paris; NOW, <br />THERE.FORE, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, <br />that the Law Enforcement Block Grants Program Grant Award No. 97LBVX3205 in <br />the total amount of $126, 139.00 requiring matching contribution of $14,015.00 be, <br />and the sameis hereby, accepted; and, <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Manager of the City of Paris, <br />Michael E.
