51wo <br />I a **0 RON 9 [111, 104 la <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS, <br />APPOINTING FIVE MEMBERS AND TWO ALTERNATE MEMBERS TO THE <br />ZONING BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS, IN <br />ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 16 OF THE CITY ZONING ORDINANCE AND <br />THE CITY'S POLICIES AND PROCEDURES FOR STANDING BOARDS, <br />COMMISSIONS AND COMMITTEES; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND <br />PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND PROVIDING AN <br />EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />WHEREAS, Section 16-100 of the City of Paris, Texas Zoning Ordinance No. 1710 <br />states in part that the Board of Adjustment shall consist of five (5) members, each to he <br />appointed by Resolution of the City council for a term of two years, and that the City <br />Council may appoint two (2) alternate members of the Board of Adjustment who shall <br />serve in the absence of one or more of the regular members when requested to do so by the <br />Mayor or City Manager as the case may be; and <br />WHEREAS, currently the terms of the five regular Board Members are expiring on <br />June 30. <br />WHEREAS, applications to fill the terms have been received from Benny Plata, <br />Beverly Johnson, A.W, "Plug" Clem, David Hamilton (current Board Member), Chris <br />Fitzgerald (current alternate Board Member), Louise Hagood (current Board Member), and <br />Brady Fisher. <br />WHEREAS, the alternate members to the Zoning Board of Adjustment are needed to <br />help form a quorum when some of the five regular members are not present; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />PARIS, TEXAS: <br />Section 1. 'That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in <br />all things approved. <br />,Section 2. That the following appointments are hereby made to the Zoning Board <br />of Adjustment: and shall <br />serve two-year terms and and shall <br />serve one-year terms, with and to <br />serve as alternate members for two (2) year terms. <br />Section 3. That this resolution shall be effective from and after its date of passage. <br />PASSED AND ADOPTED this 2511, day of June, 2018. <br />
