<br />-..,,---'-- <br /> <br />- - ...--..-..--............... -'....'....---.---.......-- <br /> <br />JOB DESCRIPTION <br /> <br />POLICE INVESTIGATOR <br /> <br />VIOLENT CRIMES AGAINST WOMEN UNIT <br /> <br />An investigator who is certified and licensed by the Texas Commission On <br />Law Enforcement Officers Standards and Education (T.C.L.E.O,S.E.) and is <br />employed as a police officer by the City of Paris Police Department will be furnished <br />in this position. <br /> <br />The investigator will devote 100% of his time to the investigation, follow-up <br />and enforcement of laws pertaining to domestic violence. He will gather data and <br />provide analysis of violent domestic crimes in Paris and their trends. He will provide <br />pro-active training and public information with instruction on ways to help reduce <br />and/or seek help in these types of crimes. <br /> <br />He will also work in conjunction with a liaison person from Family Haven <br />(women's shelter) in accomplishing these goals. He will also assist the local <br />prosecuting attorney's offices in the final stages of the cases by testifying in court <br />and working with same to see that justice is carried out. <br />
