150 miles away, and won't be able to start work until mid-June. Already has <br />people lined up for clean-up and repair work. Will focus on roof first. Told her <br />we could give a maximum of 90 days, and possible extensions if progress is being <br />made. <br />Robert Talley's recommendation: Declare nuisance, repair with 90 -days or <br />back to BSC. <br />Commission questions. <br />Q — Define significant. <br />A — All debris removed, hole in roof patched, ensure roof covering is secure. <br />This will put structure in the dry. Section 11.5-3, Section 7 of City Ordinance lists "prohibited <br />materials." Material being used is wire with safety tape attached to it. Section <br />11.5-5, Part 1 addresses fencing permitting requirements. No permit has been <br />pulled for this property. Complaint was called in as it was being installed. We <br />approached Mr. Stan Fults, who was constructing the fence, and told him he <br />needed to stop. He refused and was issued a stop work order by the Building <br />Official. Continued with installation. Was told he would be written a ticket. <br />Section 11.5-9 states removal of illegal fencing must be brought before BSC. <br />Robert Talley's recommendation: Declare a nuisance, remove fence within <br />30 days, or City has the right to do so. <br />Commission questions. <br />Q — Why does owner want it there? <br />A — Doesn't want adjacent restaurant customers parking there. <br />Q — Why didn't they just put up no parking signs? <br />A — That was done in the past, but again, did not meet Code requirements. <br />
