F. 2880 Bonham; Western Oaks Addition Block 1, Lot 14 & PT 15 <br />Owner: Skylar Burchinal & Stacy Cunningham, 1301 NW Loop 286, Paris TX <br />75460 <br />Robert Talley stated no contact with owners. Repair orders have been put on <br />structure before with previous owner. Patched a couple places on the roof, <br />enough to get it in the dry. Not sure when it changed ownership. Believe new <br />owners want to demo it, but no permit has been pulled yet. Unsecure, pieces of <br />roof torn off, walls completely missing, roof inside deteriorating. No power to <br />building. <br />Robert Talley's recommendation: Declare a nuisance, demo within 60 days <br />or city has right to do so. <br />Motion was made by Mike Folmar, seconded by Ken Kohls to accept <br />Robert's recommendation. Motion carried unanimously. 4-0 <br />4. Code Enforcement update. <br />No city demos last month, primarily due to weather. Believe once it begins to dry <br />out, will pick up. <br />First National Bank building at 1s' & Bonham. Pieces of parapet have fallen off. <br />Temporary safety fencing along sidewalk, piece was missing. Got that replaced. <br />Would BSC like to see property brought up for orders again? <br />BSC consensus is if Code Enforcement deems the property needs to be brought back <br />before the commission, it should. <br />Fire Chief addressed Vacant Building Registry ordinance recently passed by City <br />Council. <br />5. Future agenda items. <br />First National Bank Bldg, at 1St & Bonham. <br />Property owners being required to remove concrete foundations and/or steps when <br />house is demoed. <br />6. Adjournment. <br />Motion was made by Ken Kohls, seconded by Johnny Norris to adjourn the meeting <br />at 4:28 pm.
