The Board of Adjustment meeting was called to order by David Hamilton, Chairman at <br />12:02 p. m. <br />The following members were present: David Hamilton, Louise Hagood, Deanna <br />Manning, Jerry Haning and Chris Fitzgerald <br />The following member was absent: Marilyn Smith <br />Also present was Carla Easton, City Engineer and concerned citizens. <br />2. Approval of minutes. from previous meetings. (April 3, 2018) <br />Motion was made by Deanna Manning, seconded by Louise Hagood to approve minutes <br />with spelling revisions for the April 3, 2018 meeting. Motion carried 5-0. <br />Revisions included changing "suite" to "suit" and "verses" to "versus" under item three in <br />the paragraph of Lynn Hood speaking in favor of previous variance. <br />3. Public hearing to consider and take action on the petition of Eddie Clement, on Lots 10 & <br />11, City Block 250, being located at 2350 North Main Street. <br />The petition requested a variance of Section 28-4 (b) (3) of the Sign Ordinance which provides as <br />follows: <br />Section 28-4: Permanent Signs <br />(b) Detached Signs <br />(3) Detached signs shall not exceed thirty (30) feet in height above the highest adjacent <br />roadway surface. <br />The applicant is proposing to construct a sign with a height of fifty (50) feet. The applicant is <br />requesting a variance of twenty (20) feet to allow the construction of the sign. <br />Public hearing was declared open. <br />One individual spoke in favor of the petition. <br />
