<br />RESOLUTION NO. 97 -060 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore, on the 10th day of June, <br />1996, in Resolution No. 96-053, authorize the application for a grant under the Texas Department <br />of Housing and Community Affairs, Texas Home Investment Partnership Program, for the purpose <br />of funding the rehabilitation of owner-occupied single-family housing; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore, on the 7th day of <br />November, 1996, in Resolution No. 96-118, accept the grant award for participation in the Texas <br />Home Investment Partnership Program, Owner-Occupied Housing Assistance Program; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore, on the 7th day of <br />November, in Resolution No. 96-119, accept the proposal by Robert Jones, R.I.M. Enterprises, for <br />management services under said Owner-Occupied Housing Assistance Program; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, one of the requirements of said grant is the establishment of the position of "fair <br />Housing Officer"for the purpose of ensuring the provision of fair housing and equal opportunities to <br />all citizens of the City of Paris; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is deemed to be in the best interests of the citizens of the City of Paris that <br />said position be established and that Thomas E. Haynes, Project Coordinator of the City of Paris, be <br />appointed to the same; NOW, THEREFORE, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, that the <br />position of "fair Housing Officer," be, and the same is hereby, established; and, <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that Thomas E. Haynes, Project Coordinator of the City <br />of Paris, be, and he is hereby, appointed to serve as the "Fair Housing Officer" for the City of Paris <br />for the purpose of ensuring the provision of fair housing and equal opportunities to all citizens of the <br />City of Paris. <br /> <br />PASSED AND ADOPTED .hi. 9<h d,y 0"000, '~ <br /> <br /> <br />~ff;' ,~ <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />~~~\. ~h~~Si~ <br />Mattie Cunningham, City Clerk <br /> <br />
